Frequently asked questions

Straightforward answers about how MatchSense works — how picks are selected and graded, what each plan includes, and what our scores actually mean.

What is MatchSense and how does it work?

MatchSense is an AI sports-analytics platform for football and basketball. It blends historical and live data, bookmaker prices, match simulations, and calibrated confidence scoring into structured research surfaces — picks, full match analysis, player props, line-movement context, and an AI chat assistant. It is informational research, not betting advice.

How are picks selected and ranked?

For each supported market we compare our model's probability against the current market price and compute the expected value (the edge). Picks are then filtered by a minimum edge and a confidence threshold, and the grid is ranked by expected value — not by raw win probability — so the strongest value opportunities surface first rather than the most 'obvious' favourites.

What does expected value (EV) or 'edge' mean?

Expected value is the gap between the price our model thinks is fair and the price the market is offering. A positive edge means the line looks more favourable than the market implies. It is a modeling signal about relative value, never a guarantee that a specific pick will win.

What does the confidence score tell me?

Confidence reflects how strong and how well-supported the model's read is for that market, after calibration against our historical accuracy. Higher confidence means the estimate is more reliable; it does not mean the outcome is certain. We surface confidence explicitly so you can weigh it, rather than presenting every pick as equally sure.

How do plans, per-match unlocks, and credits work?

There are three ways to access premium analysis. Subscriptions unlock broader ongoing access for a billing period. Per-match unlocks are one-time purchases that open the full analysis for a single game. Credit packs are prepaid bundles you can spend on unlocks or eligible features. The exact price, currency, and inclusions are always shown at checkout before you confirm.

How are picks graded, and where can I see the track record?

After a match finishes, we finalize its result and settle every published pick against that result as a win, loss, or push. Graded outcomes feed the performance page, which tracks how published picks have actually done over time. We publish results including losing runs — the record reflects real outcomes, not a cherry-picked highlight reel.

How is MatchSense different from generic AI chatbots?

Generic AI tools can talk about sports in general terms. MatchSense is built around structured sports data, market logic, simulation output, calibrated probabilities, and productized match surfaces — so answers are grounded in the same data and models that drive the picks, rather than free-form text.

Can I trust AI for sports analysis?

Treat it as structured decision support, not certainty. Models can be wrong, and sports are inherently uncertain. MatchSense is designed to make confidence, expected value, and reasoning visible so you can judge each read for yourself — and to grade itself honestly against real results.

Does MatchSense take bets or guarantee winnings?

No. MatchSense does not accept, place, or facilitate any wager and makes no guarantee of profit. It is an informational and educational product for adults aged 21 and over. Where gambling is unlawful (for example in Indonesia) it must be used purely as analysis. If you do gamble where it is legal for you, do so responsibly and only with money you can afford to lose.

Play responsibly. MatchSense provides sports analysis for informational purposes only and does not accept wagers. Need support? Call 1-800-522-4700.
